Pineapple Rum Granita

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons dark rum

Recipe

  • 1 combine the first 3 ingredients in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil. cook 1 minute or until sugar dissolves, stirring frequently.
  • 2 remove from heat; stir in rum. cool completely. pour into an 8-inch square baking dish. cover and freeze 8 hours or until firm.
  • 3 remove mixture from freezer; scrape entire mixture with a fork until fluffy.
