Holiday Vegan Golden Gravy

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/3 cup oil or 1/3 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 2 -3 teaspoons soy sauce or 2 -3 teaspoons tamari
  • salt & pepper, to taste

Recipe

  • 1 toast flour and yeast flakes in a pan until they release a nutty aroma.
  • 2 add the oil or margarine and stir until bubbly.
  • 3 add the water and cook until mixture begins to thicken, stirring constantly.
  • 4 add soy sauce, salt and pepper.
  • 5 serve warm over tofu or other meal.
