Swedish Egg Coffee

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 20 cups cold water
  • 16 tablespoons regular grind coffee
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 measure water in to an enamel coffee pot.
  • 2 bring to a boil.
  • 3 measure ground coffee into mixing bowl, add raw egg and mix well.
  • 4 add this mixture into the boiling water.
  • 5 reduce heat and stir well with long wooden spoon.
  • 6 simmer coffee for two minutes.
  • 7 boil hard for one minute.
  • 8 let the coffee rest for one minute, then pour 1/4 cup cold water into the coffee to settle the grounds.
  • 9 strain into a serving pot and serve.
