Stonyfield Farm's Yogurt Nog

Ingredients

  • Servings: 10
  • 6 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3/4 cup chilled whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • nutmeg

Recipe

  • 1 mix eggs, milk and sugar in a large, heavy saucepan. cook and stir over a medium heat until mixture coats a metal spoon.
  • 2 remove from heat and cool quickly by placing pan in a sink of ice water.
  • 3 stir for 1-2 minutes. stir in vanilla. chill for 4 to 24 hours.
  • 4 right before serving, mix together whipping cream and yogurt. beat with an electric mixer on medium to form soft peaks.
  • 5 transfer chilled egg mixture to a punch bowl.
  • 6 fold in whipping cream mixture.
  • 7 serve at once, sprinkling nutmeg on each serving.
