Rhubarb Cherry Jam

Total Time: 24 hrs 15 mins Preparation Time: 24 hrs Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • 6 cups rhubarb, cut up
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon almond flavoring
  • 21 ounces cherry pie filling
  • 6 ounces cherry gelatin

Recipe

  • 1 wash and clean rhubarb, cut in small pieces.
  • 2 combine rhubarb and sugar and let set overnight in glass bowl.
  • 3 in the morning, boil 10 minutes.
  • 4 pur pie filling in a blender and chop fine.
  • 5 add this to rhubarb mixture and bring all to a boil.
  • 6 remove from heat and add gelatin, stirring till dissolved.
  • 7 add almond extract to personal taste -- and seal.
  • 8 makes 4 pints.
  • 9 may use different pie filling and coordinating gelatin flavor.
