Two Part Lemonade

Total Time: 25 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 10 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 4 cups sugar
  • 3 lemons, strips of zest from
  • 1 cup lemon juice (4 lemons)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 cups ice water

Recipe

  • 1 for the syrup, bring the water and the sugar to a boil in a medium-sized saucepan.
  • 2 cook for 5 minutes, until sugar is dissolved.
  • 3 add the lemon zest.
  • 4 allow mixture to cool to lukewarm; pour into a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
  • 5 for the lemonade, combine the lemon juice, salt, syrup, and ice water in tall pitcher.
  • 6 stir well and pour into tall, ice filled glasses.
