Simple Plum Chutney

Ingredients

  • 1 lb plum, pitted and chopped
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)

Recipe

  • 1 combine plums, vinegar, honey and crushed red pepper in a medium saucepan.
  • 2 bring to a simmer over high heat.
  • 3 cover, reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the plums start to break down, 5 to 10 minutes.
  • 4 transfer to a blender or food processor and pulse several times into a coarse puree.
  • 5 cover and refrigerate for up to 1 week.
