Ingredients
- 1 medium shallot, minced
- 2/3 cup kosher salt
Recipe
- 1 mix the salt and shallot and allow to sit covered with plastic wrap for 3-5 days until completely dry.
- 2 stir once daily.
- 3 grind up with a coffee grinder or mortar and pestle until you have a fine grained and well-mixed seasoning.
- 4 dehydrated foods and salts love to reabsorb moisture so remember to store in an airtight jar to prevent your home's ambient humidity from ruining all your hard work.
