Ingredients
- 4 lbs plum tomatoes, ripe
- 3 tablespoons kosher salt
- 3 tablespoons sugar
Recipe
- 1 preheat the oven to 150 degrees.
- 2 slice the tomatoes in half lengthwise.
- 3 place cut side up on baking sheets.
- 4 combine the salt and sugar.
- 5 sprinkle a little bit over each tomato, about 1/2 teaspoon.
- 6 place in the oven.
- 7 cook slowly for 10 hours.
- 8 allow to cool.
- 9 refrigerate for later use.
