Highland Strawberries

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 5 pints strawberries, hulled
  • 1 cup whiskey
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • creme anglaise or heavy cream

Recipe

  • 1 place all the ingredients in a saucepan and bring slowly to the boil.
  • 2 turn off the heat and allow the strawberries to stand, covered, in the saucepan for 2 to 3 minutes, depending on the size of the strawberries.
  • 3 spoon into individual serving dishes and serve with creme anglaise or thick cream.
