Tangy Bbq Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1 large yellow onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine
  • 1/3 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar or 1/4 cup dark brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 -2 teaspoon chili powder (or to your taste)
  • 2 cups ketchup

Recipe

  • 1 in a skillet, heat the oil over medium heat; cook the onion, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes or until softened.
  • 2 add in the wine and vinegar; bring to a boil, scraping up the browned bits sticking to the pan.
