Glazed Cherry Pie

Ingredients
- 3 ounces cherry gelatin
- 2/3 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 2 cups fresh cherries, pitted
- 1 baked pie shell, 9 inch
Recipe
- 1 stir gelatin into boiling water in medium bowl until dissolved.
- 2 combine sugar and first amount of cherries in medium saucepan. stir. mash cherries then heat and stir until it boils. cook for 2 minutes. add gelatin mixture. remove from heat.
- 3 place second amount of cherries in pie shell. pour hot mixture over top. just use what pie shell will hold. a bit may need to be left out. chill at least 4 hours before cutting.
- 4 note: fresh cherries in cherry gelatin. serve with whipped cream for finishing touch.
