Ingredients
- 6 quarts tomatoes
- 6 cups sugar
- 2 cups vinegar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
Recipe
- 1 peel and seed tomatoes.
- 2 coarsely chop tomatoes and place in large pot.
- 3 add remaining ingredients and boil gently until thickened, stirring occasionally (1 1/2- 2 hours).
- 4 place in sterilized jars and seal then process in a boiling water bath for 5 minutes.
