Pohany

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying
  • 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar for decoration

Recipe

  • beat eggs until fluffy, add remaining ingredients and mix well. knead until smooth and elastic.
  • roll thinly on floured board. cut into strips 1 x 5 inches. cut a 1 inch slit in the center of each strip and pull one end thru.
  • fry in 375 degrees f (190 degrees c) oil until golden brown. sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.
