Sweet And Sour Red Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 head red cabbage
  • 1/2 cup vinegar
  • 3/4 cup currant jelly
  • 1/2 cup boiling water
  • 3 tablespoons butter or 3 tablespoons margarine
  • salt

Recipe

  • 1 shred cabbage and cover with boiling water, vinegar and butter.
  • 2 cook and cook slowly for 45 minutes.
  • 3 stir in current jelly and salt.
  • 4 continue cooking until very little liguid is left in pot.
