Orange Grits

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon orange peel, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar (or use spenda brown sugar blend)
  • 2/3 cup grits, quick-cooking and uncooked

Recipe

  • 1 in a saucepan over medium heat bring water and orange juice to a boil.
  • 2 stir in grits, orange peel and salt into water/juice mixture. reduce heat to a simmer and cook stirring for 3-5 minutes or until thickened.
  • 3 pour into serving dishes and sprinkle with brown sugar. let stand until sugar melts.
