Fantastic Strawberry Pie

Ingredients

• Servings: 6
• 3 quarts fresh strawberries, halved, divided
• 1 3/4 cups sugar
• 5 tablespoons cornstarch
• 3/4 cup water
• 10 inches pie shells, baked and cooled

Recipe

• 1 mash enough berries to make 2-1/2 cups.
• 2 in pan, combine the mashed berries, water, sugar and cornstarch.
• 3 mix well; bring to a boil; stirring.
• 4 cook and stir for 2 minutes.
• 5 remove from heat, cool for 15 minutes; add remaining berries.
• 6 put in baked pie crust.
