Paw Paw Sorbet

Total Time: 8 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 8 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 500 g pawpaw, deseeded, peeled, chopped
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup caster sugar
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 place a metal tin in the freezer to chill.
  • 2 combine paw paw, water and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. cook, stirring for 2-3 minutes or until sugar dissolves. increase heat to medium. bring to the boil. cook for 5 minutes or until syrup thickens.
  • 3 set aside to cool for 5 minutes.
  • 4 place mixture into food processor and process until smooth.
  • 5 place in metal container and freeze for 2 hours or until almost set.
  • 6 using a metal spoon, roughly break up the mixture. return mixture to food processer adding the egg . process until smooth.
  • 7 return to metal container and freeze for 4 - 6 hours (or overnight).
  • 8 enjoy!
