Simple Meringue

Total Time: 3 hrs 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 3 hrs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 egg whites
  • 8 ounces caster sugar
  • 1 dash vanilla extract
  • 1 dash vinegar

Recipe

  • 1 whisk the egg whites until they are stiff and form peaks.
  • 2 then whisk in 75% of the sugar, the vanilla and vinegar until mixed.
  • 3 fold in the remaining sugar then cook on low heat - 100 degrees centigrade for 3 hours.
  • 4 remove from oven and leave to cool then decorate as wished.
