Simple Low Fat Non-refried Beans

Total Time: 4 hrs 55 mins Preparation Time: 25 mins Cook Time: 4 hrs 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs pinto beans
  • 9 cups water

Recipe

  • 1 wash and sort the beans.
  • 2 bring beans to a rolling boil in a large pan of water.
  • 3 reduce heat, cover and simmer 4 1/2 hours (do not drain).
  • 4 blend beans in a food processor, using the liquid the beans were cooked in to reach the desired consistency.
