cranberry-pineapple sauce

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cups crushed pineapple with juice
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons -based orange liqueur (such as grand marnier®) (optional)

    Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins Ready Time: 40 mins

  • cook and stir orange juice, white sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon together in a saucepan over medium heat until sugars are dissolved, about 5 minutes. stir in cranberries, pineapple, and walnuts; cook, stirring frequently, until sauce is slightly reduced and thickened, 25 to 30 minutes.
  • remove saucepan from heat and stir in orange liqueur.
